Giffoni Film Festival Good Games

Created as a spin-off of the famous Giffoni Film Festival for kids, the first edition of Giffoni Good Games, formerly known as GGG, set for July 1 and 2 in Giffoni Valle Piana (Salerno) dedicates part of its program to the figure of the 3D Artist. What is called “a start with a bang” made possible by the partnership concluded with Verona’s Side Academy.

In Italy, Side Academy operates at a level of absolute excellence in the training of 3D Artists, the professionals who, developing the technology and languages of computer graphics (CGI), create animated films, video clips, commercials, film trailers, commercials, and everything that feeds the 3D Communication of the 21st century. A job today as coveted, prestigious, multifaceted as ever, inserted in key roles not only of Communication, but also of industrial sectors increasingly innervated by three-dimensionality such as Automotive, Fashion, and Design.

Hence Side Academy’s presence at the first GGG, realized through events and workshops involving Side Academy’s prestigious teachers as protagonists. They are 3D Artist Supervisors able to put their signature in films, videos, commercials and animations of entertainment giants such as Disney, Marvel, DC, DreamWorks, Industrial Light & Magic, Weta, Call of Duty, but also to put their talents at the service of Top Brands such as Ferrari, Ducati, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Rai Cinema, Mattel, Panini.

In this context, Giffoni and Side Academy begin to share their path in the most prestigious way, launching a 3D Artist Supervisor like Sarah Arduini into the limelight of the event. Next July 1, the opening day of GGG, the young Oscar winner for the special effects of the Disney film “The Jungle Book” will tell the Giffoni audience how to become a 3D Artist, through those specific and exclusive courses of study that make Side Academy unique in Italy, as well as highly competitive also at the international level. A leadership that has led the Veronese academy to be a regular guest at the Venice Film Festival, and to take care of the digital editing of the last two films of a master like Pupi Avati: “Dante” and “La quattordicesima domenica del tempo ordinario.”

The topics Sarah Arduini will cover will also return with different angles in the workshops and speeches curated especially for the first edition of Giffoni Good Games by other Top Trainers from Side Academy, whose courses, developed through the formats of a “Triennial” and a 1-year Master’s program, are held both in-person and online.
