Feathers.
A small team of young people took on the daunting challenge of recreating one of the most complex and difficult elements of CGI: feathers.
In addition to this complex task, the setting had to achieve a hyper-realistic level, recreating the African environment down to the smallest detail through the management of a vast number of assets such as trees, rocks, grass, and bodies of water.
The entire scene was rendered using RENDERMAN, the rendering engine created by Pixar.

RenderMan is the rendering engine created by Pixar and used by Hollywood’s biggest studios. It is the technology that made masterpieces like *Toy Story*, *Frozen*, and countless other films with special effects possible.
