SIDE ACADEMY: THE 3D MADE IN ITALY

Just a few steps from the historic center, in one of the most striking artistic areas of Verona, the first academy in Italy specializing in 3D is born. For all those with an innate passion for the magical world of animation, here is Side Academy!

By opening in the heart of Verona, a few steps from the historic center, the e Side Academy, the first academy specializing only in 3D in our country. The goal? To create one of Europe’s largest animation studios and a unique training school from which to draw talent.
The Side is divided into three departments: Side Animation, Side Academy and Side Design, the latter aimed at creating settings, interiors and renderings. The academic offerings currently feature two main courses: the Master in Computer Graphics and the Course in Interior Design, to train not only students but future colleagues.

Side AcademyAvanguard also in new technologies, thanks to a collaboration with the English company The Foundry, which will thus allow students and professionals to use highly advanced software in the field of animation. The first project is Beatrix, a sort of Juliet completely made in Veneto, the perfect protagonist for a cartoon made in the city of the two ill-fated lovers born from Shakespeare’s pen. Some of Side Animation Studio’s animators were students of 3D animation masters who brought to life such films as: Monsters and CO, Toy Story, Cars, Transformers, Jurassic Word, Ice Age, The Incredibles and Finding Nemo and many others. A 360-degree project, made of passion and professionalism, pointing to that part of cinema that creates fantastic and enchanted universes.
